For over twenty years, she awoke mornings with aches and pains. Her doctors had prescribed every pharmaceutical remedy from
pain pills, to sleeping pills to psychiatric pills. The many side-effects from drugs compounded over time had sent her body into a state of utter confusion.
If not for a chance meeting and a brief interview,
where serious nutritional deficiencies were found this lady may still be suffering. She closely followed a specifically designed nutritional program and within a short while was free of pain and complaints. Loosing 15
pounds of excess weight was understandab1e, but, she questioned, "What did nutrition have to do with all that other stuff?"
Aches, pains, menopausal symptoms, PMS, flashes, migraines … these are but a
few of the many common examples "justified" by American women on a daily basis: "It runs in my family", "I'm Just at that age". One of today's leading causes of misery and divorce
(besides finance), is female "hormonal deficiency". Bodies are starving. They are confused and frustrated. Think about it! How wou1d you behave when you are hungry, confused and frustrated? Wouldn't you cry
out for help? Bodies are crying out for help in every way possible. But, who is listening? Who is TRANSLATING? And, what's nutrition got to do with it? More often than not, the person answers… "nothing, I'll Just
take my meds". Man made drugs certainly have their place. But they were never designed to "feed nor heal" the body,. The body is not composed of these types of chemicals and foreign matter. The human
body's survival factors and tissue growth come from natural nutrients. But don't take my word for it, observe it for yourself. What would be the optimum growth material in the history of man? (No rocket scientist needed
here!) Unarguably, the obvious answer is "mother's milk", containing all vital nutrients needed for the fastest growth period of man's life. Carbohydrates, fats and proteins are the primary nutrients in the
constituency of mother's milk. Equally important, is the proportion of these elements. Carbohydrates being the highest by far, and the lowest is protein. (Interesting?!)
Today's popular diets are removing
carbohydrates from the daily intake (why this is so is for another article), however the human body does need quality carbohydrates. It does not need the harmful "starch and sugar" contained in certain
carbohydrates. The body also needs fats, but those specific valuable fats and fatty acids that the body uses as precursors. Fats are crucial for the production of hormones. Without the proper materials, the body goes
out of balance and becomes unable to produce hormones needed for proper organ function. (This is no different than trying to bake a cake without the proper ingredients.) It's as simple as that. When proper nutrients are
lacking the body cries out; addictions to sugar, insomnia, headaches, overweight, irritability, low energy, indigestion and constipation. So, what does nutrition have to do with any of these common complaints?
Everything! … that's all. Nurture yourself this year. Try it!
